Another Week Down

It's Sunday.  Another week down, and we begin Spring Break.  We're not going anywhere this time though.

Wednesday night was Jeff Dunham.  That was just a great show.  I have to admit, I have always loved ventriloquists, but my husband and I do not have the same sense of humor.  So, I have resisted watching the specials and DVDs not thinking it would be funny.  I agreed to go to the show since everyone else was going (yeah yeah with the peer pressure).  I have not laughed that hard in a very long time.  After the week I've had, it was so worth it.

Thursday, Britton had a track meet.  He's been rocking the pole vault, and I am so sad I missed it.

Friday was another day at work.  I went to Hobby Lobby and found the lamps I wanted for my bedroom and a frame I needed at Michael's.  My bedroom is coming together nicely.  I still need a mirror, a few pieces of art, curtains and new fabric to reupholster my chairs...a little every day.  I also bought some things to make Easter crafts.

Saturday, we went to the Estate sale of one of the houses in our neighborhood, Hobby Lobby to pick up my lamps.  I scrapped a little and made this:

Today we sprang forward.  I am so happy it will be daylight for longer.  I finished my American Idol layout.  This week was unplugged.  No premade embellishments or patterned paper.  Here is what I came up with:

I Heart Belly Rubs

I took Kraft cardstock and a butterfly mask.  I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist and then took the different colors of Glimmer Mist and sprayed it until I got the desired effect.  After it was dry, I covered the outer edges with the lighter shade.  I used a flourish stamp and Platinum Versa Mark ink to stamp the left side and a part of the right side.  I used my Slice to cut out my letters and my heart.  I stamped the letters, inked them with pink ink.  I stickled the outer edge of the heart with pink and black.  I also stickled around the edge of my butterfly mask.  I took three different pieces of card stock, wadded them and inked them up to go behind the photo. Finally, I cut the butterfly, sprayed it with Sea Glass Glimmer Mist and stickled around the edge.  The pictures don't really do the sheen justice.  Hopefully, I'll make it another week.

I've decorated a chipboard house for Easter and am continuing on with my decorations...will take pictures as I progress.
